Civil Designer - Metallurgical plant/Industrial Design Market Related - TCTC

Civil Designer Position

A globally active multidisciplinary engineering firm that offers solutions for the mineral processing & water sectors has a vacancy for a Civil Designer based in Gauteng. Relevant N6 or Engineering qualification from an accredited institution is required.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years experience as a Designer in metallurgical/Industrial plant design. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Revit. Must own a vehicle and have a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is essential. The position is based in Sandton, Gauteng.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Generate BOM components and scope of work documents.
2. Produce detailed drawings from set out as per drawing office standards.
3. Produce as-built drawings.
4. Produce material take-off/Bill of Quantities.
5. Understand and apply relevant industry standards.
6. Attend site visits.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

1. Proficient in AutoDesk; Recap; Civil 3D; Plant 3D; Revit; Navis.
2. Self-motivated, energetic, positive, and enthusiastic individual who can effectively meet deadlines.
3. Experience in metallurgical (process) plant layouts & designs, generation of BOM components.
4. Ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding technical information.
5. Excellent communication, people, and conflict management skills.
6. Computer literate in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
