Junior Accountant – SAICA or SAIPA Articles
Are you a recent graduate ready to kick‑start your accounting career? We’re looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented individual to join one of our client’s teams as a Junior Accountant and complete their SAICA or SAIPA articles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BCom Accounting degree (completed)
- Currently enrolled in or planning to start CTA or Honours in Accounting
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the accounting profession
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements under supervision
- Perform reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer)
- Support monthly accounting and bookkeeping functions
- Help prepare VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
- Assist in audit preparation and client file management
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Work closely with senior staff to ensure compliance with accounting standards
