Accountant Position

An exciting opportunity has become available with a business service provider for an Accountant. The position is based in Bellville, Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Document financial transactions in the General Ledger system.
2. Accounts payable (processing invoices, payments, and reconciliation of accounts).
3. Accounts receivable (distribution of statements, following up on outstanding invoices, processing remittances, reconciliations).
4. Payroll (processing, reconciliations).
5. Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
6. Maintain internal systems and client files (electronic and hard copies).
7. Stay up to date and comply with the latest legislation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. 5+ years’ experience as an Accountant.
2. Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
4. Ability to work in cross-cultural settings.
5. Team player, motivated, analytical skills, good communication & interpersonal skills.
6. Knowledge of all MS Office applications.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
9. Deadline-oriented with attention to detail.
10. Hands-on, proactive approach.
11. Knowledge of accounting software.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Own reliable transport.
