Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for driving all construction work within construction teams and commissioning phases of a project. He will also be responsible for developing and maintaining quality control procedures on all projects ensuring the product meets company standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive all construction activities throughout project lifecycles, ensuring efficiency and quality.
2. Lead construction teams to execute installation of Commercial & Industrial Solar Projects.
3. Provide expertise in assisting and advising on the design of solar PV energy systems.
4. Manage project contracts and subcontractors to ensure project success.
5. Act as the primary liaison with clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing concerns.
6. Ensure compliance with project health and safety site requirements.
7. Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation to meet project deadlines under pressure.
8. Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to drive project progress.

Experience:
3-5 years of experience in Solar Projects within a Project Construction Management capacity.
Proven track record in construction/installation of Commercial & Industrial Solar Projects.
Experience in advising on the design of solar PV energy systems.
Strong project contracts management and subcontractor management skills.
Client liaison and relationship management experience.
Understanding and adherence to project health and safety site requirements.
Self-starter with strong leadership skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to thrive under pressure and drive teams to meet deadlines.

Qualification:
N.Dip Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
Eligible to register with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
