Specialist: Business Analyst - Insurance Sector (Long-term)

Location: Pretoria

Salary: R55 000-00 CTC p.m. (negotiable)

Overview

Our client is looking for a Specialist: Business Analyst. Candidate must understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and help envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future.

Collection Runs

• Perform Collection Runs/Feedback/Reconciliations
• Perform Collection Stats

Provide User Support (User Orientation)

• Define and document customer business functions and processes
• Liaise with business to understand requirements for any new systems or updates to existing systems
• Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organization as a whole

Business/Impact Analysis

• Identify current- and future-state business processes
• Facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
• Create, analyse and validate business requirements and high level functional specifications

Project Scope Analysis

• Deliver elements of system design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes or other detailed deliverables
• Analyse the feasibility of and develop requirements for new system and enhance existing systems, ensure the system design fits the need of the user
• Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
• Read and interpret case management systems and functional technical literature and translate in terms understandable to the end user
• Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents core to business rules, functions and requirements
• Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes;
• Consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions made;
• Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce recommendations
• Gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing recommendations to the business
• Communicate the benefits of recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern;
• Produce written documentation to support work, report on findings and present to stakeholders when necessary;
• Support staff and teams in making recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues;
• Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.

Requirements

• IT related degree/diploma
• Microsoft Certification - advantage
• 5 years' experience in Business Analysis
• 2 years' experience in IT Development
• 2 years' experience in Project management
• Microsoft Framework (SQL, .Net, C#, WCF, WPF, ASP.net; MVC, OOP, K2, SharePoint, Kanban, Scrum)
