Redheads Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking to employ a dynamic National Operations Manager to join their team. This company specializes in the sales, manufacturing, and installation of tombstones. The ideal candidate must possess a robust background in manufacturing or production.

Duties & Responsibilities

• The primary responsibility of the National Operations Manager is to implement effective processes and procedures across the organization.
• This includes formulating strategies, enhancing performance, procuring resources, and ensuring compliance.
• The role entails mentoring team members, enhancing customer service quality, and promoting best practices at all levels.
• Ultimately, the National Operations Manager is entrusted with ensuring the factories maintain compliance, efficiency, and profitability.
• Compiling and implementing documented Standard Operating Procedures.
• Overseeing operations across three factories.
• Enhancing operational systems and processes.
• Managing inventory and efficiency.
• Ensuring legal compliance.
• Setting strategic objectives.
• Maintaining quality controls.
• Supervising staff.

Reporting to top management, the National Operations Manager directly oversees operational staff.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• Less than 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing or a related area.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete product manufacturing.
• Proven track record as Operations Manager or similar role.
• Proficiency in organisational effectiveness and operations management.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Knowledge of business and financial principles.
• Background in manufacturing or production.
• Familiarity with various industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve goals with extensive experience and judgment.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of labor legislation and health & safety procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of organisational management systems, including policies and procedures across financial, administrative, operational, and HR domains.
