Financial Accountant

Medium-sized financial services firm based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. Successful candidate must have a completed B.com degree in Accounting with completed articles.

Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Completed B. Com Accounting
Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles
Minimum 5 years’ experience
Experience within an accounting firm
Mining experience will be advantageous

Skills:

Excel
Case Ware
Pastel/Sage one/Xero Experience

Job Description:

Full Accounting function within an accounting firm
Preparation on monthly recons including age analysis
Perform export debtors’ function for manufacturing division and follow up on long outstanding receivables to ensure no bad debt occurs
Reconcile invoices
Provisioning of monthly costs accruals through a recon of accounts and supplier statement at month end
Remain up to date with IFRS requirements
Make necessary provisions in the accounts in line with IFRS
Ensure necessary internal control systems are in place for processes in area of responsibility

Package & Remuneration

R 300000 - R 360000 - Annually
