Financial Manager (CA)

The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company, providing strategic insights to management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

This role is ideal for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant or someone with up to 4 years of post‑qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Analyse key performance indicators, including Net Fee Income (NFI) and operating margins, to support business decision‑making.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the budgeting process, monitor variances, and provide actionable commentary to department heads.

• Compliance & Tax: Ensure full compliance with SARS regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Tax filings. Manage all audit requirements and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

• Treasury & Cash Flow: Monitor daily cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimise working capital.

• Internal Controls: Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk and ensure data integrity.

• Team Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide financial guidance and support on ad‑hoc projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: CA(SA) designation is essential.

• Experience: 0–4 years of post‑qualification experience (articles included).

• Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (modeling and data manipulation).

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant tax legislation.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar) is highly preferred.

• Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for non‑financial stakeholders.

  • A "hands‑on" attitude and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

This role will suit a CA with strong technical accounting skills, a proactive approach to process improvement, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

This is a full time office based/ hybrid role in Melrose Arch.
