Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Data Technical Specialist / Data Analyst to support and stabilize critical market data platforms within a Global Markets trading environment. The role focuses on ensuring the resilient delivery of real-time and reference market data across trading systems, reducing operational risk, and supporting strategic platform initiatives within a regulated banking environment.

The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on experience with market data platforms, production support, incident management, and vendor engagement, particularly within investment banking and financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering and operational support for:
  • Bloomberg (B-PIPE, Data License)
  • LSEG / Refinitiv
  • Exchange-sourced market data feeds
• Ensure stable and resilient delivery of real-time and reference data into:
  • Murex
  • Calypso
  • Other downstream consumer systems
• Support feed stability, platform performance, and operational continuity.
• Act as a senior escalation point for production incidents impacting Global Markets trading desks.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement both short-term and permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and formalize:
  • Operational runbooks
  • Monitoring thresholds
  • Recovery procedures
• Reduce operational dependency on informal or undocumented knowledge.
• Act as the technical liaison with:
  • Bloomberg
  • LSEG / Refinitiv
  • Exchange market operations teams
• Support incident resolution, platform upgrades, and feed-related changes.
• Participate in infrastructure refreshes, feed migrations, and lifecycle management initiatives.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Support market data entitlements and usage controls.
• Assist with audit evidence preparation and compliance activities related to vendor and exchange licensing obligations.
• Maintain operational controls and clear data lineage documentation for regulatory and audit requirements.

Knowledge Transfer & Risk Containment

• Document:
  • Critical configurations
  • Dependencies
  • Operational procedures
• Reduce key-person dependency risk through structured knowledge transfer sessions.
• Support capability uplift within permanent support teams and leadership.

Strategic Roadmap & Performance Management

• Contribute to:
  • Long-term platform re-architecture initiatives
  • Vendor discussions and performance management
  • Strategic roadmap planning
• Provide recommendations for improving platform scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience supporting front-office market data platforms within a trading environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Bloomberg market data products
  • LSEG / Refinitiv platforms
• Experience integrating market data into:
  • Murex
  • Calypso
• Strong background in:
  • Production support
  • Incident managementOperational risk management
  • Regulated financial services environments
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure trading support environments.
