Newton Park Automotive Parts Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Newton Park, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), Eastern Cape

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: R10,000 – R12,000 per month (Depending on experience)

Benefits: Provident Fund and December Bonus

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 to 17:00) & Saturdays (08:00 to 13:00)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized, reliable, and hands‑on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily stock and dispatch operations within the automotive replacement parts industry. In this role, you will lead a small warehouse team, manage inventory accuracy, and ensure that part orders are picked, packed, and dispatched seamlessly to keep local automotive clients moving.

Note: While direct automotive parts experience is a fantastic advantage, it is not essential—a strong background in warehouse leadership and solid inventory controls is what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Lead, motivate, and schedule the daily tasks of warehouse assistants, picker‑packers, and delivery drivers.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee stock receiving, shelving, and bin location management. Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to minimize variances.
  • Dispatch & Receiving: Ensure incoming stock shipments are verified against delivery notes and that outgoing orders are accurately picked, securely packed, and dispatched on time.
  • Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, highly structured, and safe warehouse floor in line with company safety standards.
  • System Management: Use warehouse inventory software to track stock movements, process transfers, and update order statuses.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of stable experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Lead, or Senior Warehouse Controller role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within automotive aftermarket spares, logistics, or retail hardware environments is highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must be physically fit and capable of managing a fast‑paced parts dispatch environment.
  • Systems: Basic computer literacy and experience working with computerized inventory/ERP systems.

Mandatory Legal Requirements

  • Must be a South African born citizen.
  • Must have a completely clean criminal background.

Note: Full criminal background checks and identity verifications will be conducted on all shortlisted applicants.
