Job Title: German-Speaking Customer Support Representative

Location: Umhlanga, Durban (On-Site)

Contract & Schedule: Full-Time (40 Hours / Week across a 24/7 rotational shift pattern, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day)

Compensation: R24,000 gross monthly salary

Languages Required: Fluent / B2+ German & Corporate English

Overview

Our organization is actively hiring client-focused professionals fluent in German to deliver top-tier support for a globally recognized e-commerce merchant. Operating directly out of our physical office in Umhlanga, your core function will involve acting as the primary point of contact for online consumers by managing their inquiries regarding shipment tracking, delivery updates, billing processing, and product catalog details. This position represents an outstanding career opportunity for motivated individuals who wish to build a long-term professional trajectory in client relations and business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Multichannel Assistance: Manage incoming client communications across multiple channels—including inbound phone calls, live web chat, and electronic mail—using fluent German alongside professional English.
  • Order Troubleshooting: Investigate logistics delays, process client return requests, and track down missing or misplaced shipments.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer complaints and conflicts with patience, diplomacy, and tact to guarantee satisfactory and positive outcomes.
  • Policy Knowledge: Continuously update your understanding of inventory offerings, corporate terms, and retail guidelines to deliver reliable and precise guidance.
  • Database Management: Carefully document thorough logs of every customer interaction within our internal CRM system.
  • Performance Standards: Consistently satisfy established team benchmarks, with a primary focus on maintaining exceptional Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) ratings and high-quality resolution standards.

Qualifications & Competencies

Essential Criteria:

  • Language Capabilities: Native fluency or at least a confirmed B2-level proficiency in spoken and written German, complemented by robust corporate English communication skills.
  • Education: Hold a minimum of a Grade 12 / Matric diploma or a recognized equivalent educational qualification.
  • Shift Adaptability: Complete willingness to work flexible, rotating shift schedules, which include evening hours, overnight assignments, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to navigate multiple computer software applications, internal systems, and digital platforms simultaneously.

Experience & Mindset:

  • Prior background in contact center environments or retail client service is preferred (fully paid training is provided).
  • Essential qualities include strong empathetic listening, personal resilience, and effective analytical problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Perks

  • Base Salary: R24,000 gross monthly salary.
