Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and analysis
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial close processes
• Review financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls across finance processes
• Support external and internal audit requirements
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Collaborate with operational teams to support financial planning and decision‑making
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional designation advantageous (AG(SA), SAIPA, or CA(SA))

Experience

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• 3–5 years' post‑articles experience in a financial accounting environment
• Strong financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger experience
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Retail, trade, agricultural, or commercial industry exposure advantageous

Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Power BI advantageous
• SAP advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Valid driver's licence
• Afrikaans and English proficiency advantageous
