Job Opportunity: General Manager – Premier Restaurant Group
Location: Northern Suburbs, Johannesburg
Salary: R35,000 – R42,000 (negotiable)

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead operations across our high-end restaurant locations. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, proactively solve challenges, and foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring the restaurant remains a destination of choice for discerning guests

Requirements:

• Proven GM experience in premium dining
• Strong commercial and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of management experience in the hospitality industry, with 3-5 years in a GM or similar role.
• Strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and understanding of restaurant operations.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.

Key Duties

• Full accountability for restaurant performance
• Drive revenue, profitability, and guest experience
• Lead and manage FOH and BOH teams
• Ensure brand consistency and operational excellence
• Oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Manage financials, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L, and cost control.
• Lead staff recruitment, training, and retention, promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive revenue and attract clientele.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
