Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of damaged vehicles with customers
- Use Audatex and TMS to compile accurate repair estimates
- Submit quotations promptly to insurance assessors and follow up on approvals
- Collaborate with Manager and insurers to secure quotation signoffs
- Liaise with workshop to initiate and track approved repairs
- Monitor job progress, perform quality control inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Lead, train, and support Junior staff
- Ensure excellent customer service is upheld throughout the repair process
- Communicate professionally with customers, insurers, and internal teams
- Identify upsell opportunities and contribute to sales growth
Qualifications
- Minimum: Matric (Grade 12)
- Audatex training with certificate
- Proven experience (2–5 years) in collision estimating or automotive damage assessment
- Proficiency with estimating software (Audatex and TMS)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities
- In-depth technical knowledge of panel beating, structural repairs, and spray painting processes
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to interpret estimates
