Offshore Specialist

Reports To: Head of Sales

Job Purpose The Offshore Specialist supports international distribution structures in maintaining and growing an international investment intermediary portfolio, while increasing market share for international business.

Key Outcomes

• Drive new business growth and increase retention of existing investment business.

• Achieve profitable annual sales volumes and monthly targets by directly and actively managing an intermediary portfolio.

• Implement regional business plans covering sales volumes, investment education, training, marketing, and client service administration.

• Execute an intermediary support model to enable effective communication between the international investment division, intermediaries, and product providers by:

  • Supplying accurate investment, product, fund, service, and investor information.

  • Training and developing intermediaries and their office staff.

  • Supporting investment projects and marketing campaigns.

  • Participating in investment product implementation, presentations, product development, and client service support.

  • Assisting with practice management to identify broker needs, technology requirements, reporting, and profitable practice development.

• Coordinate and maintain effective Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all relevant stakeholders.

• Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements (e.g., FAIS, FICA).

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a financial distribution and investments environment.

• Relevant financial or investment tertiary qualification.

• Established relationships within the region (preferred).

• Demonstrated experience in supporting and developing Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) practices.

• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.

• Strong technical knowledge of international investments, the broader investment industry, and market trends.

• Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel.
