Job description

An established company in the construction industry is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting function, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll

  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial reports

  • Maintain the general ledger, including reconciliations and compliance processes

  • Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT/GST, FBT, corporate tax, and related compliance requirements

  • Assist the Finance Manager with financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc projects

  • Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation during audit processes

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Completed articles at a recognised accounting firm (essential)

  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
