Field Technician / Field Engineer, Blackheath

Our client, a leading player in the FMCG, production and manufacturing sectors, is seeking a skilled Field Technician / Field Engineer to join their on-site team in Blackheath, Cape Town. Non-negotiable Requirements:

• Millwright / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical / Manufacturing environment

• Strong hands-on ability with a passion for producing detailed written reports

• Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills

• Business English proficiency (written and verbal)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Solid attendance record with sound references

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong adherence to quality as well as health and safety standards

• Vali driver’s license and passport for travelling both nationally and internationally

• Live in Western Cape

Responsibilities:

• Technical and after-sales support

• Write and validate technical information use for documentation

• Develop and maintain a database of technical specifications and information

• Supply technical information to marketing, sales, spares and customers

• Participate in projects and research as required

• Conduct testing and validations

• Deliver training sessions

• Travel nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault finding

Working Hours

· Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30

· Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
