The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, as allocated through the Helpdesk or Operations Manager.
The role incumbent ensures a safe working environment while carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by the Operations Manager are adhered to according to set policies and standards.
- General Maintenance:Ensures that all maintenance tasks are carried out on a daily base according to faults logged.
- Customer Service:Maintain high level of service delivery to internal and external clients through effective communication channels.
- Centre Night and Weekend duties:Successful execution of night and weekend duties as per schedule.
- Risk Management:Identifies and manages business risk.Ensures compliance with relevant Acts.Controls, manages and governs the processes and systems within area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimise the business risk.
Implements all audit recommendations in area of accountability and resolve audit findings timeously.Design, approval, implement and maintenance of policies within area of responsibility. - Self Development:Participates in training and development initiatives in line with personal development plans.Identifies training / development needs and pro-actively selects effective solutions to address development gaps.
Ensures that a personal development plan is developed and implemented.
