RPO Recruitments client a reputable civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team on civil infrastructure projects in Durban and the surrounding areas.

This role is suited to a hands-on construction professional with extensive experience managing large-scale civil works leading site teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely on time within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day execution of civil construction projects.
• Plan and coordinate labour plant subcontractors and materials.
• Ensure projects are completed safely on programme within budget and to specification.
• Monitor project progress and prepare site reports.
• Liaise with clients consultants subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Manage quality assurance contractual compliance and health and safety requirements.
• Mentor and supervise site personnel to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

• National Diploma BTech BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years experience as a Site Agent or in a similar site management role within the civil construction industry.
• Proven experience on civil infrastructure projects including roads bulk earthworks stormwater water and sewer reticulation and related municipal infrastructure.
• Professional registration as one of the following: Pr CM with SACPCMP or Pr Tech Pr Techni or Pr Eng with ECSA.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration construction methodologies quality management and health and safety legislation.
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel between project sites.
