The Disaster Recovery (DR) Architecture Specialist
The Disaster Recovery (DR) Architecture Specialist will provide expert leadership to lead, review, refine, and update Eskoms IT Disaster Recovery Strategy and associated capabilities. The services will include:
- Assessment of current DR maturity across applications, infrastructure, and services
- Alignment of DR strategy with Business Impact Analysis (BIA), RTOs, and RPOs
- Design and standardisation of resilient architecture patterns (HA, redundancy, failover, hybrid cloud/on-prem)
- Development and enhancement of DR plans, frameworks, and standards
- Establishment of governance, assurance, and continuous improvement mechanisms
- Enablement of operational readiness, including roles, procedures, and escalation models

Qualifications
Relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
Industry certifications (preferred): ISO 22301 Lead Implementer / Auditor
ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor
TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent
