Service Technician (Mining & Separation Technology) - Spartan, Gauteng - Salary: R45 000 to R50 000 CTC per month (Negotiable based on experience & product exposure) About Our Client An industry-leading firm specializing in cutting-edge crushing and separation technology for the mining sector is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician . Key Responsibilities As a Service Technician, you will be the hands-on expert responsible for the mechanical, C&I, and electrical technical refurbishments, installations, and servicing of specialized equipment. Your duties will include: Assembling new crushers, sorters, and process-related equipment, and preparing them on test beds for test runs. Operating Comex machinery on-site and completing test certificates and QCP documentation. Handling on-site installations and assisting engineering personnel with final commissioning. Conducting fault-finding, troubleshooting, and visiting customers to compile detailed findings and recommendations reports. Assisting with quotation data, compiling spares requirements for repairs, and supervising the execution of planned tasks. Adhering to strict workshop housekeeping and safety protocols (including safety talks and subordinate training). Participating in a standby rotation with a 1-hour response call-out time. Requirements & Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria: Education: Certificate or Technical Diploma in a relevant field ( preferably a qualified Millwright ). Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a field service or similar technical role. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the mining industry, crushing equipment, and preferably separation technology\/sorting processes . Licensing: Valid driver's license is non-negotiable. Physical Fitness: Physically fit and capable of working on heavy engineering and processing equipment. Skills: Strong technical aptitude across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. Computer literate with the ability to assist in compiling quotations and technical reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all structural levels. Exceptional time management, self-motivation, and assertiveness.
