Position Summary
Tangent International is seeking an experienced 4G/5G RAN Optimization Engineer to take ownership of radio network performance across a large-scale mobile network environment. This role is focused on advanced optimization, KPI improvement, root cause analysis, and performance enhancement to deliver exceptional network quality and customer experience.

As a 4G/5G RAN Optimization Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end optimization of LTE and 5G radio networks, utilizing advanced vendor tools and performance analytics to drive network excellence. You will investigate complex network issues, perform deep‑dive protocol and call flow analysis, and implement optimization strategies that improve accessibility, retainability, mobility, throughput, and overall service quality. The role demands strong expertise in radio network performance management, parameter tuning, and feature optimization across modern wireless technologies. You will work closely with operations and engineering teams, providing technical leadership and delivering data‑driven recommendations to optimize network performance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize 4G LTE and 5G NR network performance across multi‑vendor environments
- Monitor and analyze network KPIs to identify performance degradation and improvement opportunities
- Investigate coverage, capacity, interference, and quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Perform protocol trace analysis, call flow analysis, and mobility troubleshooting
- Execute advanced RAN parameter tuning and feature optimization activities
- Conduct root cause analysis on complex radio network performance issues
- Utilize optimization tools including TEMS, Nemo, WNG, NGI, NetMax, and CEMS for network analysis
- Analyze drive test and measurement data to identify and resolve network deficiencies
- Develop KPI reports, dashboards, and technical presentations for management and stakeholders
- Support operator escalations and provide expert‑level technical troubleshooting
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of dedicated wireless network optimization experience
- Strong expertise in LTE and 5G NR optimization and performance improvement
- Solid understanding of RAN architecture, air interface technologies, and mobility management
- Hands‑on experience with KPI analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization methodologies
- Deep knowledge of call flows, handover procedures, VoLTE, CS, and packet‑switched services
- Experience performing parameter tuning and feature implementation activities
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis capabilities
- Experience using industry‑standard optimization tools such as TEMS, Nemo, QGIS, or Google Earth
- Excellent communication and technical reporting skills
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Hands‑on experience with ZTE optimization tools including UME, NGI, NetMax, and WNG
- Experience with Huawei, Ericsson, or Nokia RAN optimization platforms
- Knowledge of automated reporting and dashboard development using Power BI or Excel
- Experience supporting Tier‑1 mobile network operators
- Relevant vendor certifications in LTE, 5G, or RAN Optimization technologies
