Product Compliance Lead

Were seeking a technically driven Product Compliance Specialist to ensure our labels and packaging products meet international compliance standards and regulatory requirements across global markets. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who enjoys interpreting technical legislation managing product compliance data and working closely with engineering manufacturing and commercial teams to ensure products remain compliant market-ready and supported by robust technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain technical product compliance data across multiple product lines
• Interpret international regulations and translate compliance requirements into practical business processes
• Ensure products meet global regulatory standards including material composition traceability recycled content and product stewardship requirements
• Prepare customer declarations technical reports and regulatory submissions for international markets
• Collaborate with engineering manufacturing sourcing sustainability and commercial teams to resolve compliance challenges
• Monitor changes to global legislation and assess their impact on products materials and manufacturing processes
• Drive improvements to compliance systems reporting processes and data quality
• Support technical product claims by ensuring appropriate testing certification and supporting evidence are in place

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 35 years experience in product compliance engineering quality technical data management or regulatory affairs within manufacturing packaging FMCG or a similar industry
• Strong understanding of international product compliance standards regulatory frameworks and technical documentation requirements
• Experience interpreting global legislation and applying compliance requirements within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with technical databases ERP systems or digital compliance tools
• Excellent analytical problem-solving communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Industrial Chemical Materials Packaging Environmental or a related Engineering discipline
• Alternatively a qualification in Chemistry Environmental Science Materials Science Packaging Technology Supply Chain Data Science or another relevant technical field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel with strong reporting and analytical capabilities
