AI Agent Agentic Engineer

Our client in the Telco sector is looking for an AI Agent / Agentic Engineer on a contract duration of 6 months.

Role Purpose

The AI Agent / Agentic Engineer is responsible for designing developing and deploying intelligent AI agents that automate business processes accelerate Agile delivery and enhance enterprise data products. The role develops autonomous and semi-autonomous agents capable of reasoning planning orchestrating enterprise tools and interacting with data platforms to deliver actionable business insights. These capabilities are productised into customer-facing and internal AI-powered solutions that support DataCos analytics and monetisation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and deploy AI agents that automate business processes and support intelligent decision-making.
• Build agentic workflows capable of planning reasoning and executing tasks across enterprise systems and data platforms.
• Develop analyst agents that generate insights from enterprise datasets including footfall customer behaviour location intelligence and competitor data.
• Integrate AI agents with LLMs enterprise APIs databases analytics platforms and business applications.
• Design multi-agent solutions that collaborate to solve complex business and analytical use cases.
• Develop reusable agent frameworks and services that can be productised across DataCos portfolio.
• Implement memory tool orchestration and workflow automation to improve agent performance and reliability.
• Monitor evaluate and optimise agent performance accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with enterprise security governance privacy and responsible AI standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners Data Scientists Data Engineers GenAI Engineers and Solution Architects to deliver AI-enabled products.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Software Engineering Data Science or a related field.
• 58 years experience in software engineering AI engineering or machine learning development.
• Experience developing AI agents agentic workflows or intelligent automation solutions.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph AutoGen CrewAI Semantic Kernel or similar.
• Experience integrating LLMs APIs databases and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) vector databases and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Azure AI Azure OpenAI Databricks AI or equivalent enterprise AI platforms is advantageous.
• Experience deploying AI solutions within cloud environments and Agile delivery teams.
