Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements:
- A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree / or relevant management qualification)
- Post basic Trauma qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Unit Manager / Shift Leader in Trauma
- Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable healthcare legislations
- Compulsory BLS certification
- Advanced computer literacy
- Knowledge and experience on Kronos will be beneficial
- Flexible working hours / shifts
The main purpose of this position:
The Unit Manager will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practised within a multi-disciplinary team
In accordance The Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building mentoring coaching training and development in his/her unit
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that your unit is providing safe cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of our client and evidence based practise
- Evaluate the patients journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution
- Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
- Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
- Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
- Implement group quality initiatives
- Liaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to business
