We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Practitioner to join our team in Durban on a permanent basis. This role is integral to providing exceptional tax compliance services to our individual trust estate and corporate portfolio clients. Responsibilities

As a Tax Practitioner your key responsibilities will include:

• Accurately computing completing and submitting provisional and annual tax returns for individuals trusts estates and companies.
• Arranging provisional and assessed tax payments.
• Reviewing income tax assessments and lodging objections where necessary.
• Submitting supporting documents and resolving client and SARS queries within legislated timeframes.
• Obtaining tax clearances and addressing cessation of tax residency matters.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records for tax clients including filing.
• Contributing to internal and client communications.
• Growing and consolidating the tax book.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Registration as a tax practitioner in good standing.
• A minimum of five years experience in a similar role with a proven track record of working independently.
• Proficiency in Word Excel SARS NITS system and income tax software.
• Excellent knowledge of tax law principles.

Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will involve:

• Engaging with clients to address their tax-related queries and needs.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Staying updated on applicable tax legislation and ensuring compliance.
• Managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks to meet business goals.
• Preparing and submitting accurate tax documentation.
