Were recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering solutions provider seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Gauteng. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with EPC and process plant experience to manage projects from design through commissioning while working on complex mining and mineral processing installations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job & Company Description:

As a Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible for the successful execution of mining and mineral processing projects within an EPC environment. You will oversee project planning engineering coordination procurement support fabrication installation and commissioning activities to ensure projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams suppliers contractors and clients while ensuring compliance with quality safety and technical standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Education:

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• ECSA registration or candidacy towards professional registration will be advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer
• Proven EPC project experience within mining mineral processing or heavy industrial environments
• Experience managing mechanical equipment packages and process plant projects
• Strong understanding of project planning scheduling budgeting and cost control
• Experience overseeing fabrication installation and commissioning activities
• Knowledge of pumps thickeners mills materials handling systems tanks piping and related plant equipment
• Ability to review mechanical designs drawings technical specifications and vendor documentation
• Strong contract administration and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
