Financial Accountant 6-month contract

A rapidly growing company is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and wants to be part of a business making a meaningful impact in the sustainability space.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full finance function across multiple entities. Duties will include managing payments invoicing debtor collections reconciliations journal processing and VAT submissions. The role also involves maintaining accurate financial records processing intercompany transactions supporting month-end reporting and assisting with audit preparation and compliance requirements. Working closely with the Finance Manager you will contribute to ongoing financial projects while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the business.


Skills & Experience:

• Strong financial accounting and reconciliation experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• 24 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with ERP or accounting software beneficial
• Exposure to intercompany accounting and group structures advantageous

Qualification:

• BCom Accounting qualification
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous
