IT Graduate

Our client based in Boksburg is seeking a recent IT graduate to join their team for a 12-month internship. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated candidate who is eager to gain practical experience in IT support end-user support network troubleshooting and day-to-day IT operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide basic PC and desktop support to staff members.
• Assist with setting up configuring and preparing PCs for new employees.
• Connect printers for users and troubleshoot printer-related issues.
• Provide end-user support for Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook Teams OneDrive and other Office applications.
• Track update and action support tickets on ServiceNow.
• Provide basic LAN and WAN support.
• Assist employees with mobile device setup configuration and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware software connectivity and user-access issues.
• Escalate more complex technical issues to the relevant senior IT team members.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and completed actions.

Job Requirements

• Completed Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
• Recent graduate seeking practical workplace experience.
• One year of experience in a similar IT support role will be advantageous.
• Solid understanding of core IT principles including hardware software networking and end-user support.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office essential; exposure to additional technical software will be advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt within a technical environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a team player with a professional and customer-focused approach.
