Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare cook and present meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served to the highest quality standards. Maintain food safety hygiene and health and safety standards at all times.
• Manage food stock levels stock rotation and minimize wastage.
• Assist with menu planning and implementation of innovative food offerings.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Conduct daily quality checks on food preparation and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and client requirements.
• Monitor portion control and food costs to achieve budget targets.
• Maintain a clean organised and efficient kitchen environment.
• Produce menus which demonstrate flair imagination and an upmarket awareness that meets customer needs and VIP function preferences.
• To attend seminars and training courses as and when directed.
• To further your own knowledge of management methods and principles to ensure future advancement and further upgrading in management standards for the profession as a whole.
• Stay abreast with food trends as well as best practices.
