SAP ABAP Developer

The profile is intended for a junior SAP ABAP developer with hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANAenvironments. The candidate should already have practical exposure to SAP development activities and be able to support assigned developments with guidance from senior developers or technical leads.

The candidate would be expected to contribute to ABAP development activities such as reports ALV enhancements debugging unit testing technical documentation and defect resolution.

Key technical skills expected include:

• Good working knowledge of SAP ABAP programming
• Experience with reports ALV Data Dictionary objects function modules and debugging
• Exposure to enhancements such as user exits BADIs or implicit/explicit enhancements
• Understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA development environments
• Basic knowledge of transport request handling
• Ability to analyse functional specifications and translate them into technical developments
• Ability to perform unit testing and support issue resolution

Additional exposure to ABAP OOP CDS Views OData RAP Fiori backend development Adobe Forms Smart Forms IDoc BAPI RFC or SAP Clean Core principles would be considered an advantage.

In terms of experience the profile would be suitable for a candidate with approximately 2 to 3 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience preferably gained through implementation support enhancement or migration projects.

The candidate should also demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills attention to detail willingness to learn teamwork and a professional attitude.
