Chief Accountant

Duties:

• Lead and manage the overall accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation

• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations

• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial planning, analysis, and forecasting

• Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders

• Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and systems

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in senior accounting roles

• Proven expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls across different legislations and currencies

• Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Relevant professional qualification (SAPA or equivalent)

Familiarity with the following:

• ERP systems and financial software

• International financial reporting standards (IFRS)
