Infrastructure Administrator

Overview

Global Enterprise Organization seeking fulltime Infrastructure Administrator in South Africa. The Administrator is responsible for administering the infrastructure handling ticket management and maintaining the operations of the technical infrastructure of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the companys Windows and Linux servers Active Directory Office 365 VMware virtual environment Network and Storage infrastructure.
• Ticket management and end to end ownership of tickets
• Work closely with the other Infrastructure teams to improve SLAs ticket resolution times and gain knowledge of the companys systems
• Handle daily support for all areas of Infrastructure.
• Change request implementation for Tech StandardCommon and Emergency changes
• Creation of new virtual machines groups user accounts
• Monitor and handle access controlto internal systems
• Remediating security vulnerabilities and other findings as necessary
• Monitor the ticket queue to ensure SLAs are met
• Assist as necessary with any other assigned duties that may arise

Qualifications

• BSc/ B.E degree in Computer Science Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
• 3-5 years of IT administration (Linux & Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated understanding of complex problem-solving techniques dealing with infrastructure support.
• Experience with some of the following areas / concepts:
  • WindowsServer and Linux operating systems
  • Active Directory (maintenancegrouppolicy permissions)
  • VM server creation
  • Enterprise storage systems
  • Physical server class hardware
  • Data center operations
• Experience using a ticketing tool. ManageEngine ServiceDesk experience is a plus.
• System monitoring and administration tool sets-VCenterADUC storage management tools etc.
• An understandingof networking and administration
• Understanding ofDNS DHCP and Subnetting
• Understanding of Switching and routing Firewall Internal / External SSL Certification
• Used some security tools and software anti-virus anti-malware patch management
• Creatingdeleting accounts in Microsoft Office 365
• Some experience with Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory and Group policy

Other Skills

• Industry recognized certifications (Microsoft Cisco CompTIAetc) highly desirable
• Experience withBitDefenderantivirus and ManageEngine Patch manager
• Hands on experience with automation suites (vRealize Ansible BMCetc)
• Reasonable level of experience with automation and/or scripting
• A strong desire to make a difference.
• Able to set objectives meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast moving business
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Has broad perspective and understanding of business and trends in the market place; is current on business and industry trends.
