Junior Cost Accountant

A well-established manufacturing business operating in a fast-paced production environment is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Cost Accountant. This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong interest in costing operational finance and manufacturing processes and is looking to grow within a dynamic and hands-on environment.

Job Description:

• Assist with product costing and margin analysis
• Monitor raw material labour and production costs
• Support monthly stock counts and inventory reconciliations
• Analyse variances between actual and standard costs
• Prepare costing reports and operational financial analysis
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain bill of materials (BOMs) and costing databases
• Collaborate closely with production procurement and finance teams
• Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
• Assist with month-end reporting and audit requirements

Skills & Experience:

• 2 years experience in a manufacturing or technical environment advantageous
• Strong numerical analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• ERP system and inventory control exposure advantageous
• Experience with Pastel Evolution beneficial
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Cost & Management Accounting Finance or related field
