Support Engineer

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Implement maintain and support secure email and messaging solutions across desktop and mobile platforms.
• Manage and troubleshoot networks including routers switches firewalls and VPNs.
• Diagnose technical issues identify root causes and deliver effective solutions.
• Support security measures access controls and system configurations.
• Provide technical guidance to users and stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation reporting and system records.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on upgrades migrations and installations.

Technical Requirements

• Ideally 4 years relevant experience.
• Strong ICT knowledge across email messaging LAN/WAN TCP/IP VPN DHCP and DNS.
• Desktop and network support administration or related technical roles.
• Understanding of Windows Linux and macOS environments as well as mobile operating systems.
• Knowledge of network security principles hardware and monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting analytical and communication skills.

Other Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Network Engineering or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA Microsoft certifications or CompTIA Security advantageous.
• Preferably Afrikaans speaking and/or an understanding of Afrikaans.

Salary

The proposed salary for the role is R20k - R30k per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications experience and skills.
