Methys Group is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our team based in Century City Western Cape South Africa.

Responsibilities

Creating and executing content strategy for all the Methys group entities: daily social media weekly newsletters weekly blogs weekly podcasts and regular press releases

Assist with social media and web channels to amplify content

Creating content for all AfricArenas digital platforms: website startup portal AfricArena Wired mobile app (articles weekly Wired newsletters)

Using the designated Brand Guidelines - designing all materials used for communication and overall brand auditing and ensuring consistency across all communication channels.

Liaising with media on distributing content such as press releases

Playing a key role in authoring qualitative research reports on tech innovation and investment trends in the African ecosystem

Requirements

Requirements

Graduated with a Bachelor degree or Diploma in Media studies Marketing Public Relations

1-2 years of proven experience in writing copy for digital and non-digital

A successful experience in a similar role in a media agency or content intensive startup is a must with a preference with exposure to the technology sector

Excellent copy writing skills

Great interpersonal presentation and communication skill

Proficient in G-Suite applications (Docs sheets email and others)

Proficient in the use of CRMs (MailChimp preferred but any other credible platforms are considered)

Very comfortable in updating web and app content through CMS platforms

Experience in qualitative research.

Autonomous organized and ability to manage several parallel projects.

Passionate about story-telling community building networking
