Retail Store Manager

Our client in the automotive retail industry is seeking to employ a Retail Store Manager to join their team based in Claremont Pretoria.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 (minimum requirement).
• Diploma in Business Administration Sales Marketing or a related qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in retail sales and/or marketing.
• At least 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of retail store operations and inventory management.
• Experience in sales planning merchandising and pricing strategies.
• Sound financial and budget management skills.
• Computer literacy including MS Office Suite and relevant retail software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership planning and organisational abilities.
• Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental compliance within a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve store performance.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Ensure adequate stock levels through effective inventory management.
• Oversee merchandising pricing promotions and display standards.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue.
• Analyse financial reports and profitability ratios to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies legal requirements and operational procedures.
• Implement and maintain store security measures to protect assets.
• Promote a safe clean and compliant working environment.
• Schedule supervise and support store employees to maximise productivity.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and support staff development initiatives.
• Address employee relations matters in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare management reports on store performance risks and stakeholder matters.
• Uphold company values of integrity accountability teamwork and customer excellence.
