Duties & Responsibilities

What Youll Be Doing:

• Live Tracking & Routing: Monitor and manage our 10 to 15 truck fleet daily optimizing routes to ensure safe on-time deliveries.
• Driver Management: Be the main point of contact for our drivers. Youll handle dispatching scheduling and ensuring they are compliant and supported on the road.
• Freight Sourcing & Capacity Management: We have steady core work but empty kilometers are the enemy. When we have extra capacity or need a backhaul (return load) youll proactively jump onto load boards leverage your network or connect with brokers to secure profitable spot freight.
• Problem Solving: Handle breakdowns traffic delays and route adjustments with a cool head and a quick solution.
• Client Liaison: Keep our clients proactively updated on ETAs and delivery statuses.
• Fleet Health: Monitor basic vehicle maintenance schedules and service intervals to keep our fleet road-ready.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Matric (Grade 12). A Certificate Diploma or relevant qualification in Transport Management or Logistics is highly advantageous though strong practical experience is our primary focus.
• Experience: 35 years of hands-on experience in fleet controlling transport coordination or a busy dispatch environment in South Africa.
• License: Valid Code 8 (Class B) Drivers License and reliable transport
