SUMMARY:
Introduction:
Our client, based in Pretoria, is seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a design professional with commercial interior design experience to work on a variety of projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where creativity, innovation, and attention to detail are highly valued.

Job Purpose:
To design, plan, and deliver functional and aesthetically pleasing commercial interior spaces by managing projects from concept through to completion while ensuring client requirements, project timelines, and quality standards are met.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education (Essential):

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field

Minimum Applicable Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in interior design with a focus on commercial projects

Required nature of experience:

• Commercial interior design
• Managing projects from concept to completion
• Client relationship management
• Space planning and design development
• Preparing technical drawings and design documentation
• Collaboration with contractors and project teams
• Mentoring or supporting junior designers (advantageous)

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

• Excellent design, communication, and project management skills
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of interior design principles
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills

• Develop creative interior design concepts for commercial projects
• Prepare space planning layouts, technical drawings, and design documentation
