Senior Roads Contract Engineer
Our client has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Roads Contract Engineer to play a pivotal role in the successful execution of complex transportation infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for both project leadership and contract engineering functions across large-scale road developments for public sector clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (NQF 8 or above)
- ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (PrEng/PrTech) is mandatory.
- At least 10 years post-registration professional experience.
- Extensive experience delivering SANRAL provincial and municipal road projects.
- Proven success in road rehabilitation upgrading improvements and periodic maintenance projects.
- Demonstrated experience in project management contract administration and construction supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Manage road infrastructure projects from inception through construction and final completion.
- Serve as Project Leader ensuring successful delivery in line with client expectations.
- Fulfil Contract Engineer and Engineers Representative responsibilities under recognised contract conditions.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams throughout design and construction.
- Prepare project reports and contractual documentation.
- Support and mentor junior engineering professionals.
