Draughtsman/ Technical Consultant

Job Description

• A leading hydraulic engineering company is looking for an experienced Draughtsman / Technical Consultant with strong expertise in hydraulic system design, 3D modelling, and technical support.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing hydraulic systems while supporting engineering projects and technical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design hydraulic systems and components.
• Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Design cylinders, manifold blocks, and hydraulic power packs.
• Reverse engineer hydraulic components.
• Assist with the testing and validation of hydraulic components.
• Provide technical support to internal departments and branches.
• Prepare technical quotations for hydraulic components.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure design accuracy.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric), N3, or equivalent.
• Mechanical Design Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in hydraulic system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with hydraulic calculations.
• MD Tools experience is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
