Lodge Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• - Previous lodge, resort, hotel or hospitality management experience
• - Assistant Lodge Managers with strong potential may be considered
• - Strong personality, leadership ability and confidence
• - Strong practical maintenance knowledge and experience
• - Good housekeeping management experience
• - Good F&B operational experience
• - Strong reservations knowledge and administration
• - Experience with Booking.com and other online booking platforms
• - Experience working with travel agents and managing agent relationships
• - Excellent guest relations and communication skills
• - Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• - Good financial and stock-control awareness
• - Professional, hands-on and well presented
• - Computer literate
• - Ability to work independently and under pressure
• - Flexible and willing to assist across all departments when required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Manage the day-to-day operations of the resort and venue
• - Oversee guest arrivals, departures and overall guest experience
• - Manage reservations, enquiries and online bookings
• - Liaise with travel agents and booking platforms
• - Monitor Booking.com and other relevant channels
• - Oversee housekeeping standards and room inspections
• - Manage F&B operations and service standards
• - Oversee maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance
• - Identify maintenance issues and ensure they are resolved timeously
• - Manage staff, rosters, performance and daily operational requirements
• - Conduct staff briefings and ensure clear communication
• - Monitor stock, purchasing and departmental requirements
• - Assist with budgeting, cost control and operational administration
• - Coordinate accommodation and venue requirements for functions and events
• - Handle guest complaints and resolve operational challenges professionally
• - Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, service and safety
• - Work closely with management, suppliers, agents and other stakeholders
• - Be hands-on and assist wherever operationally required

PACKAGE

• - Salary: R25,000 per month
• - Live-in accommodation provided
• - Meals provided
