Location: Cape

A leading provider of industrial solutions is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant – Control Valves to drive new business development and manage key customer relationships within the process industries. This is a technical sales role requiring a consultative approach, strong product knowledge, and the ability to identify customer requirements while delivering engineered valve solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
• Conduct face-to-face customer visits and technical sales presentations.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable control valve solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure new business.
• Maintain and update the CRM system with sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
• Work closely with internal engineering and technical support teams to develop customer solutions.
• Conduct site visits, plant surveys, and shutdown planning with customers.
• Promote service, maintenance, repair, and aftermarket solutions.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
• Monitor market activity and identify new sales opportunities.
• Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to regional business growth.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• N3 qualification with Mechanical or Process Instrumentation (minimum requirement).
• N6 qualification will be advantageous.
• Trade Test in Instrumentation will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in technical sales within industrial automation, valves, instrumentation, or process control.
• Sound knowledge of control valves and their applications.
• Process plant experience will be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Package

• Salary: R750,000 – R900,000 CTC per annum (depending on experience)
