Senior Process Engineer - Gold

Our client in the mining sector is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer - Gold to join their engineering team. The role focuses on providing engineering services and field support for minerals processing projects, with specific expertise in gold concentrator design. The successful candidate will oversee, guide, and develop solutions across various process plant systems, unit operations, and process equipment. The successful candidate will form part of the Project Delivery Team and work closely with clients and project stakeholders, maintaining focus on achieving unprecedented and sustained business results. Key Responsibilities - Perform process engineering tasks on minerals processing projects across various commodities. - Act as Lead Process Engineer on projects or studies when required. - Execute design calculations, equipment lists, and process design criteria independently. - Provide training, guidance, and supervision to junior colleagues. - Engage with clients to define process scope, technology selection, and design criteria. - Compile Process Flow Diagrams, mass and energy balance calculations, and P&IDs. - Undertake trade-off studies and manage process test work programs. - Conduct capacity analysis, equipment selection, and sizing calculations. - Prepare process datasheets, specifications, and process descriptions. - Design process control logic and contribute to hazard studies. - Compile operating and capital cost estimates. - Prepare project reports and participate in site commissioning activities. - Contribute to proposal preparation and business development initiatives. Requirements - Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Mineral Processing degree. - Minimum 10 years experience. - Experience supporting engineering studies including PEA, PFS, and Feasibility Studies. - Extensive design, commissioning, and/or operational experience in gold processing facilities. - Experience in scoping and management of metallurgical testwork programs. - Experience in modelling of gold processing equipment and systems. - Strong client focus. - Ability to lead engineering tasks within allocated budget and schedule. - Ability to manage individuals to attain quality, cost, and schedule objectives. - Experience mentoring and guiding junior colleagues. - Exposure to greenfield and brownfield mining projects.
