Corporate Commercial Associate

Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft review and negotiate a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements (e.g. MOIs shareholders agreements sale of business agreements and service level agreements).
- Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance regulatory compliance and the Companies Act.
- Assist with and manage components of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) including conducting comprehensive legal due diligence investigations.
- Liaise directly with corporate clients to understand their commercial objectives and mitigate legal risks.
- Manage complex corporate restructuring and broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant South African legislative amendments and commercial case law.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Completed LLB degree from a recognized university.
- Professional Status: Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- Articles: Successfully completed Articles of Clerkship at a reputable firm.
- Experience: 1 to 3 Years Post-Admission Experience (PAE) with a dedicated focus on corporate and commercial law.
- Skills: Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities strong commercial acumen and meticulous attention to detail.
- Attributes: Ability to work independently and under pressure with excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
