Diesel Mechanic

Our client, a well-established company in the passenger transport industry, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with heavy-duty vehicle experience who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and keeping fleet vehicles operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines and mechanical systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on fleet vehicles.

• Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic equipment and implement effective repairs.

• Service and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

• Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Diesel Technician with relevant trade qualification.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

• Experience working on heavy-duty vehicles (Volvo bus experience advantageous).

• Proficient in using Volvo Tech Tool and other diagnostic equipment.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Valid driver's licence with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
