Senior ETL Developer & Database Administrator (DBA)

You’ll take ownership of both ETL development and database administration, ensuring critical data systems remain secure, performant, and scalable. This is a highly visible role where you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to build the foundations that enable advanced reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL solutions for reporting, business intelligence, and data integration requirements
• Translate complex business requirements into efficient and sustainable data solutions
• Optimise ETL processes and pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Lead and support migrations to modern ETL platforms where required
• Administer, maintain, and monitor SQL Server database environments
• Implement backup, recovery, security, monitoring, and performance tuning strategies
• Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, governance, and transformation best practices
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to support reporting and analytics initiatives

Requirements

• 7+ years of ETL development experience in enterprise environments
• 4+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
• Experience working with ETL tools such as Talend, SSIS, Airbyte, DataStage, Qlik, or similar platforms
• Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing principles
• Experience with database performance tuning, capacity planning, and security administration
• Familiarity with Git, version control processes, and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
• Strong documentation and communication skills
