Turning (Lathe) and Milling Machinist

Our client a leading organisation operating within the Precision Engineering and Manufacturing industry is seeking to employ an experienced Turning (Lathe) and Milling Machinist.

Requirements:

• 4 years experience as a machinist in an engineering shop. Not as a production machinist.
• Hole and thread tolerances.
• Knowledge of different materials.
• Able to work overtime and weekends (when needed).

Responsibilities:

• Know how to read and determine manufacturing drawings.
• Created freehand drawings from a master part.
• Work to high tolerance machining.
• Know what tooling and feed and speeds to use with different materials.
• Must be able to cut threads and tapers on a manual lathe and mill.
• Be able to operate different machines Lathe Mill surface grinder blocking mill drill arm auto tapping machine.
