Job Advert Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support the Financial Manager in delivering accurate timely and meaningful financial information that supports business decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial accounting reporting budgeting cost control internal controls and compliance while working closely with operational and finance stakeholders across the business.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:Perform daily weekly and monthly financial accounting activities including reconciliations journal processing fixed asset administration petty cash management payments and payroll and monitor sales weighbridge inventory intermill transactions and cost of sales and analyse monthly management accounts variance analyses financial reports and year-end reporting budgeting and forecasting processes by monitoring expenses investigating variances and assisting department heads with budget with inventory and stock counts reconciliation of variances and reporting on stock discrepancies and inventory compliance with company policies statutory requirements VAT and tax regulations and internal financial and support internal and external audits providing relevant documentation and responding to audit as a finance team leader in the absence of the Financial Manager and provide cross-functional support to colleagues and operational continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in financial controls and business & Competencies:Sound knowledge of financial and management accounting in financial reporting reconciliations budgeting and cost knowledge of accounting systems preferably analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to to manage multiple priorities and meet strict communication and stakeholder management understanding of internal controls compliance and audit to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced operational environment.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting and Finance with a focus on Financial and Management Accounting
