Junior Draughtsman

SUMMARY:
A leading supplier of industrial remote controls and machinery used for underground mining is looking to employ a Junior Draughtsman.

POSITION INFO:
Skills required:

• 1-2 years post qualification experience (preferably machine shop exposure)
• Certificate in Draughting
• Relevant National Diploma, N5/N6 certification, or degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with plate work design for underground mining machines, R&D projects
• Fusion 360 or SolidWorks
• Must have a good understanding of tolerances and be able to read drawings

Duties include:

• Creating Drawings
• Setting Measurements
• Applying Tolerances
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Generate mechanical designs to relay inforomation to fabrication and machine shops
